Everywhere we go we look for exceptional products and services to bring “back” with us to delight and inform our readers. We found a bag full this time . . . from a fine fabric company to a decorative painter who creates entirely new environments by applying images to entire walls and ceilings. We invite you to explore the treasures of the world interior design and beyond. For their quality, craftsmanship, and superb design, we are delighted to present this talent in our DesignIntuit SHOWROOM.

Lee Jofa

Groundworks

Started almost two centuries ago, this fine fabric company has “mastered the delicate harmony between past and future, tradition and innovation.” The products resonate in witty classic design, and an investment in any of their lines will hold its values for years and years.

Lee Jofa Mulberry
  The Mulberry Line

Lee Jofa provides classic and contemporary fabric choices in several different lines. The Mulberry line, which is one of my favorites, is classical with rich patterns and color bursts that aren’t stodgy but convey Old World divinity. Their Groundworks collection is getting lots of press and we know many designers in this season’s show houses are dressing their rooms with these more modern weaves, textures and colors.

Caitlin/Cole & Sons

Bella FiguraWe also love their Cole & Son collection of wallpapers that we saw at The San Francisco Showcase used by designer Caitlin Moran. Her website is www.caitlinmoraninteriors.

Lee Jofa is decidedly at the forefront of fabric design. They also have matching wallpaper, bench-made furniture through Holland & Company, and clever murano decorative lighting through their own Bella Figura decorative lighting line. Bella Figura's comprehensive range of styles and colors is available in both classical and contemporary designs in various finishes. In addition to its signature handmade traditional ceramic lamps, many of which were inspired by original pieces from Holker Hall in Britain, Bella Figura's decorative lighting assortment also includes chandeliers, sconces and floor lamps as well as brass, wood, and glass table lamps. They also offer an extensive array of lampshades to complement any room and design aesthetic.

Waterworks Bathroom

Waterworks

Waterworks used by OliverFor more than 27 years, a Connecticut based company, has been influencing bath and kitchen design with their highly styled, beautifully made, jaw dropping fixtures, sinks, ceramics, tiles, mosaics, towels, toilets and more for the kitchen and bath environments.

Waterworks mirrorTheir towels are perfectly plushed, faucets ergonomic, tile collections vast, eclectic and unusual; even the accessories have that just right quality.

This room (right), from the 2006 Showhouse tour by designer
Carolyn E. Oliver, is simply stunning. Carolyn's website is www.oliversinteriors.com

And it is all about quality here, with price tags that are sometimes shocking in their showrooms that resemble museums. But they are also carry lines for those “on a budget”. Whatever your budget, visit one of their many locations to see, with your own eyes, a bathroom or kitchen like your've never seen before.

DUNN EDWARDS PAINT
Media Bath Room

Dunn Edwards donates all the paint for the Pasadena Showcase
House of Design and what a smart business move that is on their part! The palette choices are deep and wide and the designers use it
in fine painterly fashion, evoking just the right mood and feeling for their spaces.

A showcase is a fabulous way to visualize how paint can change your environment. Experience how color enhances these environments when you visit your next show house.

Enkeboll Designs

Acorn

Sometimes I come across a new source and I am awestruck by the talent. Enkeboll is one of the most special companies I have ever found.
They lovingly make architectural woodcarvings such as mantels, stair parts, panels, pulls, inlays and finials, paneling and much more.

Enkeboll carvings

Enkeboll's attention to detail and understanding of design surpasses anyone I know of in this industry. They've just come out with a new Art Nouveau line and we can't wait to see it!

Their catalog will have you reeling, thinking of ways to start changing your interiors using Enkeboll products.
